The Evolution of the Jewelry Display

If you have ever knocked over a display and spent the next twenty minutes hunting for gold ends on the shop floor, or if your studio is cluttered with dozens of displays just to accommodate different gauges—the Lab has been working on a solution for you.

At Stab Lab Designs, we realized piercing displays haven’t changed in decades. Most are unweighted, fragile, and only work for one specific gauge. We decided to strip the concept down and re-engineer it from the ground up.

The Grip: One Display, Multiple Gauges

The core of our upcoming Oval and Hexagon Displays is a proprietary platinum-cure silicone pad engineered for active retention.

Unlike standard displays where jewelry just sits in a hole, our silicone creates a high-friction seal around the hardware. Whether you are displaying a 20g nose stud or a 10g labret, the pad grips the jewelry. You can tip it, drop it, hold it upside down and shake it, or knock it off a counter—your jewelry stays exactly where you put it.

Autoclave-Compatible Silicone

We didn't just stop at the grip. Because we use a high-stability, heat-resistant platinum-cure blend, the silicone pads are designed to be autoclave-ready.

This allows piercers to organize their jewelry directly on the pad and run the silicone unit through the autoclave. You can move from sterilization to the procedure tray with your setup perfectly held in place, reducing fumbling and maintaining your workflow.

Museum-Grade Chassis

We believe your jewelry should be the star, not our logo. Our stands are engineered to look and feel like high end displays, not hobbyist prints.

  • Zero Branding: Our displays feature no obvious logos or distracting text to keep the focus on your jewelry.

  • Ceramic-Coated & Vapor-Smoothed: The weighted bases are vapor-smoothed to a smooth finish and then wiped with a professional ceramic coating. This creates a sleek, high-end surface that deters fingerprints, dust, and oils from constant handling.

  • The Weighted Feel: These aren't light, hollow plastic. They are weighted to provide a premium feel and a stable footprint that won't slide across your counter.

Coming Soon to the Lab

We are currently finalizing our stock of the Oval and Hexagon bases to ensure every unit meets our "Lab Standards." Keep an eye on the shop—the days of needing a different display for every gauge are almost over.
